Drinking Fountain at junction of Llandaff Road and Romilly Crescent

This drinking fountain was opened by Alderman Joseph Elliott, Mayor of Cardiff on Monday 16th April 1877. The builder was Mr. F. S. Lock and the architect was Mr. Geo. Robinson. After a prayer by the Rev. Saulez, the reading of a psalm and the singing of a hymn by the Canton School Choir the Mayor declared the fountain opened. The fountain was described as " prettily decorated with flowers".[1]
